Ready for the freeze
Houston heating gets used for weeks a year, then has to work on the worst one.
A furnace or heat pump here sits idle most months and then gets asked to hold a house through a hard freeze with almost no warning. That's a different reliability problem than a system that runs every day, and it's the one we build maintenance around.
Why a heating system that sits idle needs its own kind of check
A Cypress heating system spends most of the year doing nothing, and equipment that sits unused has its own failure pattern: dust settling into a burner assembly, a blower motor that hasn't turned in months, an igniter that's fine in October and dead in January because nobody ran it in between. Heat pumps carry a second wrinkle, since the same unit doing the summer's cooling has to reverse and hold up under conditions it barely sees, a hard freeze that might hit two or three nights a year but has to work exactly when it does. Repairs cover the usual failure points, ignition, blower, thermostat wiring, refrigerant side on a heat pump, and installation covers both a straight furnace swap and a full heat pump system where that's the better fit for the house. Maintenance is really the whole point here: a system checked before the season starts is a system that doesn't strand a family on the one week Houston actually needs it.
What the guarantee covers on a heating call
The same policy applies whether the call is a summer AC repair or a January heating fix. Blue Diamond Club members get a flat $59 dispatch fee seven days a week and service guaranteed within 24 hours, which matters more on a heating call than almost anything else Blue Label does, since a cold snap doesn't wait for a convenient appointment slot. Every repair carries a three year guarantee on the part and the labor behind it, and the same 100% satisfaction policy applies: if the work doesn't solve it, you don't pay for it.

One crew, both seasons
The same team that gets you through August gets you through a freeze.
Heating and AC repair run on the same guarantee, the same dispatch fee, and often the same technician, so a heat pump call isn't a different company showing up in a different truck. A new heat pump or furnace goes in through the same process as a full AC installation, sized for the house rather than swapped like for like.
